Today is the day! Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10 are going to be out of support before the day is out. IT's time to upgrade to Internet Explorer 11 if you're an IBM Cognos customer wanting to continue using your Cognos products whilst remaining within a supported environment.
If my experience is anything to go by then there are many customers still using the soon to be unsupported browsers. This is of course due to a number of factors, and it will put some in a very difficult position as they are using IBM Cognos products such as Controller 10.1.1 which are going to be without a supported web browser version as of today. Controller 10.1.1 for example is only supported up to IE10.
Given that IBM Cognos Controller doesn't currently have an end-of-support date, perhaps IBM will consider certifying Controller 10.1.1 on IE11 to allow customers more time before needing to consider a Controller upgrade.
